Preamble |
The SP-UEFA Cup is a SoccerProject club competition mentally supported by SoccerProject Developers, organized by SP-FIFA Administration and sponsored by SoccerProject Lithuanian Community. The present regulations describe the organization of the SP-UEFA Cup.
Participants |
Only clubs from D and lower divisions may participate in SP-UEFA Cup (club must be in D or lower division by SP-UEFA Cup starting day).
Every SP member nation (with 30 and more teams) can participate in SP-UEFA Cup. Participating nation must nominate a National Coordinator (application form could be found here), who is responsible for National qualification for SP-UEFA Cup and represents nation in SP-UEFA Cup organization process.
List of participating clubs must be sent by National Coordinator to the SP-UEFA Cup administration 10 days before Starting Day.
Starting Day |
Starting Day of every new season is the first Saturday of 17, 19, 21 etc. seasons of SoccerProject
Competition Format |
SP-UEFA Cup is organized as SP friendly cups (group and knock-out) without home advantage.
SP-UEFA Cup consists of two stages:
(1) Preliminary Round – 4 zones with 16 (32) clubs or 8 zones with 32
clubs (table 1, bellow in the page);
(2) Final Round – 1 zone with 4 (or 8) clubs (table 1,
bellow in the page).
Distribution of places |
Number of clubs depends on number of participating nations. 64, 128 or 256 clubs may participate in SP-UEFA Cup (table 1, bellow in the page).
Minimum quota for every nation is 3 clubs (if 25 and more nations participate – 4 clubs).
Extra places (table 1) in SP-UEFA Cup are distributed by results to those nations, who have participated in previous season. Every club can earn points for his nation: 3 points for a win and 1 point for a tie plus additional points for reaching next level of tournament (every level adds 1 point; 1st place in the final standing – adds 5, 2nd – adds 3; 3rd – adds 2 and 4th – adds 1). Extra places are distributed according to the share of points per team (all nation points are divided by number of participating clubs).
Club Rankings and Distribution to Zones |
SP-UEFA Cup Administration seeds clubs for the Preliminary Round in accordance with the club rankings established at the beginning of the season.
Rankings will be calculated using the following formula based on Division, Position, and Manager Ranking Points:
RT= (14*(7-X))+(16-Y)+Z/30
RT – rating
X – team division (C=3; D=4; E=5; F=6; G=7)
Y – team position in division
Z – SP manager ranking points
Please click the following link for detailed description of Rating formula: http://soccerproject.opateam.com/dokumentai/SPLB - Remis Formula.pdf
Participants from every nation will be distributed to the zones proportionally. [For example: if nation X has 3 teams, then all teams will be in different zones; if nation Y has 11 teams, then teams will be distributed so – 3, 3, 3, 2.].
All teams will be distributed to the zones according to the distribution matrix (table 2). If some nation in the process of distribution reaches maximum number of teams in one zone, then next team in the same row will be sent to that zone. Previous team will go to the next zone.
National qualification |
Every nation is free to determine format of National qualification. SP-UEFA Cup Administration highly recommends only one qualification for two competitions - SP-UEFA and SPCL.
Winner |
SP-UEFA winner gets 18 weeks SPFA membership.
